Frost-Barber Welcomes New Leadership:
Chris Laderer Appointed President/CEO
Since 1946, Frost-Barber has grown from a small office supply store in downtown Baton Rouge to Louisiana’s premier Steelcase dealership. Our legacy spans generations, and we offer products and services that redefine modern work environments.
In 2017, Doug Jehle bought the business from Larry Frost. Doug aimed to grow the Frost-Barber brand and keep its family culture thriving. But we kept aiming higher. We are now one of five dealerships in North America to earn Diamond Premier Partner status for two years in a row. This is the highest honor a Steelcase dealer can receive, and our team’s hard work has achieved this.
While we’re proud of our legacy and accomplishments, we focus on the future. The next chapter of the Frost-Barber story begins with a new leader at the helm.
Christopher Laderer acquired Frost-Barber this summer and is our new President/CEO. Many in the Baton Rouge design community may already know Chris, a New Orleans native, as an LSU graduate with a Bachelor of Interior Design degree (BID). Chris has spent the last 19 years working for Steelcase. His roles have involved workplace strategy, culture development, and change management. Most recently, Chris served as Steelcase Regional Sales Manager in Houston, TX. Chris’s background makes him an ideal fit to continue Frost-Barber’s momentum of success.
